Cliff Ricci and Tim Richter have been appointed to new positions at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Ricci was named manager of the Strip, and Richter was named manager of the Bullring.
The appointments were made Thursday by speedway president Chris Powell. “Cliff and Tim are veteran racers and are long-time members of the racing community here in Las Vegas,” Powell said.
“They’ve been involved in the operation of their respective tracks for several years, and we’re delighted to have both of them take on greater roles in the management of these two facilities.”
Ricci is a former competition eliminator racer and 32-year NHRA technical official who has worked at The Strip at LVMS as its chief technical inspector for 11 years. He has an extensive racing background, having worked at the now-defunct Las Vegas International Speedrome from 1980-1999.
Richter is a former Modified racer who has served as the competition manager at the Bullring for the past two years. Richter will manage the dirt track as well.
